Asphalt concrete building bridge expansion joint is an expansion installation set between two beam ends, the beam end and abutment, or on the joint position of the bridge to meet the requirements of bridge deformation. The seamless bridge expansion joint is bitumen-filled in the UK in the 1970s. The technology is to replace expansion installation by paving layer of high elastic asphalt mixture. This layer can absorb bridge deck displacement caused by temperature and traffic load, and meet expansion and contraction at seasons, ensuring the surface will not crack.
Asphalt concrete building bridge expansion joints are suitable for small and medium-sized bridges with less than 50mm expansion.
Horizontal expansion: ±25MM
Vertical expansion: ±3MM
1.High elasticity: Asphalt Material Expansion Joint can adapt the load deformation and vehicle load well.
2.Good performance: Asphalt Material Expansion Joint have good low-temperature flexibility and high-temperature stability.
3.Easy to construct: Asphalt Material Expansion Joint can be installed easily and conveniently without blocking traffic.
4.Open to traffic quickly: Bridge can be opened to traffic in two hours after Asphalt Material Expansion Joint are installed. If cooling is accelerated, the bridge can be open to traffic in an hour.
5.Shock-absorbing: Asphalt Material Expansion Joint can absorb vibration of vehicle impact and make cars go smoothly.
6.Long service life: Being strict accordance with the requirements of the production and installation of expansion joints, Asphalt Material Expansion Joint generally have a longer service life.
7.Low cost and high cost-effective.
